Fuel Cells, Generating Electricity from Hydrogen and Oxygen

Fuel cells, which can generate electricity in your home. Moreover, it is a fuel-cell co-generation system that also heats water from its waste heat.

Fuel cells: they are an electricity generation system that creates electricity through the chemical reaction of hydrogen and oxygen. Also, as co-generation systems that use the heat given off from the fuel cell while it is generating electricity, it is possible to gain even greater energy efficiency.

Generating electricity through the chemical reaction of hydrogen and oxygen

A fuel cell is a chemical reaction that uses the reverse principle of hydro electrolysis.
At this stage only electricity, heat, and water are created, and greenhouse gases such as CO2 are not released.

1.Fuel processing device - Extracts hydrogen from the natural gas. 2.Cell stack - Uses the hydrogen and oxygen from the air supply device to create a direct current. 3.Inverter - Converts the direct current into alternating current. 4.Heat recovery device - Recovers the heat from the PEFC stack and the fuel processing device and produces hot water of approx. 60 degrees Celsius. 5.Hot water tank - Stores the recovered hot water and supplies it when hot water is needed. 6.Backup heating element - Provides extra heat when the warm water in the hot water tank is not able to cope.
